What’s in my Cassette Player right now? Portland gives me such wonderful things. Stopped in Tender Loving Empire and picked up the prettiest cassette I saw. That happened to be Radiation City, The Hands that Take You. Some songs remind me of Band of Horses, some of Mirah, some of She & Him, some of Fleet Foxes, but all of them are tinged with a unique electronic component and something like the sepia of the 70’s, including a female voice slightly reminiscent of Karen Carpenter’s at times. Ugh, it is SO GOOD. I want more more more more more for my commutes.
